Beate Trück (on behalf of FILANTROPHEES V.O.F)
Managing Director
Beate Trück is the Managing Director of the European Venture Philanthropy Association. Beate, a German national who has lived in Brussels for the past eleven years, brings with her a strong track-record of working at a high level in European institutions and of managing and coordinating European networks. She also has wide experience as a volunteer in Nicaragua, Switzerland and France. From 2000 to 2008, she was the director of the Brussels Office of the German applied research organisation, Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft. Beate has three M.A.s in the field of European affairs and literature and speaks six European languages.

Lisa Hehenberger
Research Director
Lisa is a Swedish national, based in Barcelona. She has written her doctoral dissertation at IESE Business School on venture philanthropy. She has presented several papers at academic conferences such as those organized by the Academy of Management, EGOS and EURAM. Prior to embarking on an academic career, she worked in investment banking in London, Madrid and Barcelona. Lisa has a Master’s degree in Business and Economics from Stockholm School of Economics and HEC (CEMS).

Ashley Metz Cummings
Research Consultant
Ashley is an American national based in Berlin and spent the past two years in Barcelona completing her MBA at IESE Business School. She has co-authored cases for the UNDP as part of her work as a social business consultant in Mumbai. Earlier in her career, she co-founded and directed the Chicago office of Reach the World, an educational programme in the United States, and wrote extensively for RTW’s educational programme as Field Production Manager aboard a sailboat. She also worked in internet marketing at an advertising agency and a technology start-up. She has a BA in English Literature and Creative Writing from Northwestern University and an MBA from IESE.

Linda Muise
Office Manager
Linda, a Canadian national who has lived in Belgium for the last seven years, has worked in supply chain for more than 20 years. She brings to the office her excellent organisational skills and project management. She also has experience working as a volunteer for such organisations as Canadian Cancer Society, and Heart and Lung Association and the United Appeal.

Carole Leduc
Knowledge Centre Intern
Carole is a French national based in Brussels. She previously worked as a junior analyst at Oliver Wyman Delta, a consulting firm specialised in organisational design, change management and top executives effectiveness, and as a marketing intern at a major French telecom company. She also volunteered for “A Top Business School: Why Not for Me?”, a social programme for equality of opportunities initiated by ESSEC. Carole holds a MBA from ESSEC and participated in an exchange programme at the Graduate School of International Studies of Seoul National University.
